Located in the famed Eola Hills region of Oregon’s
Willamette Valley, Stone Wolf Vineyards consists of approximately 40 very
special acres of older vines averaging over 15 years in age, something rare in
our state’s new wine industry. But we know that only from older vines can great
wines be created. Therefore, since it has been proven that a fine wine must
begin in the vineyard, we have implemented an earth friendly farming technique
long used in Europe but little known in America. Our sustainable farming
methods have each year rewarded us with ever-greater quality and now others are
following in our path.
Our wines are hand crafted in the
old world style, utilizing traditional methods from harvest to bottling. Even
are aging barrels are personally selected to complement each wine and to bring
out the unique characteristics we have been able to achieve, resulting in a
wine with a signature of its own. That signature is also our persona stamp of
approval for world-class food friendly wines.
Those who might wish to purchase
our wines might like to know that they are available in major supermarkets
chains throughout Oregon and we are well represented in Washington state. But
you will also find our wines in Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, New Jersey and while
you are traveling east, be sure to check out Chicago where we are in the finest
restaurants and wine shops. Missouri is yet another state where you will find
our great wines. But failing all of these options pleased be advised that,
provided you are in a state that allows direct wine shipments, you can always
order direct from us to you or by mailing us at the address that appears on
your screen.
The
Legend of Stone Wolf!
The stone wolf stands tall and
proud as guardian of the vineyards. From his stone sanctuary, he silently
protects the land, his watchful golden eyes wary of any threat. If you let the
magic of the stone wolf fable grace you with it's spirit and strength, we
believe you will discover the magic of the crop he safeguards - as fruit on the
vine, the wine in your hand, and finally in the gift of a memory we hope you
will rekindle again and again.
