Stone Wolf Pinot Noir - 2002
"On the light side. Pretty, offering strawberry and guava fruit layered with earthy spices, finishing with some plushness. Drink now through 2005."

Stone Wolf Pinot Noir - 2006
"For those who have not heard of, or tried any wine from, the Willamette Valley of Oregon is the up and coming Napa Valley (still in its infancy). Willamette Valley actually made a top 10 list, ranked number 6, destinations for 2009. A destination for wine lovers to try before it is the next high priced, tourist destination.

Along with our BBQ Turkey for Thanksgiving (which turned out fabulous), we enjoyed the Stone Wolf Vineyards 2006 Pinot Noir. I am not a big fan of Pinot as they tend to be very simple red wines. This Pinot was a complex, medium bodied red that paired well with our turkey. Priced at $18-$20, this is a wonderful wine, one to be enjoyed as a starter to the night or with your dinner - or just to drink for no other reason. I was surprised by this one, and would recommend trying this along with others from the Willamette Valley."

STONE WOLF NEWS

Welcome to the "new and improved" Stone Wolf Vineyards website. While the site has been around for several years, the job of updating information had fallen through the cracks. We now have a dedicated website team with a goal to update our information on a regular basis.

Time and again you will get to hear from Art "Papa Wolf" Lindsay and his trials and tribulations in the vineyard. You can look foward to pictures illustrating equipment, grape growth and processing along with some helpful and often educational commentary.

The winemaking team of Linda Lindsay, Matt Cechovic and Bruce Martin will be updating you on some of the everyday cellar and winemaking happenings. From tending to the wines or playing "scientist" in the lab, the winemaking team is sure to treat you to some interesting facts, theories and even some constructive tasting notes and comments about the upcoming releases!

We are glad to welcome you to our "den" and keep you informed about our wines. Please feel free to wander our website and take it all in. It is our goal to make you feel relaxed and at home here at Stone Wolf.

"Generations ago, you might be hard-pressed to walk across a flourishing vineyard and find a woman winemaker at its helm.

But today in Oregon Wine Country, home to 250 of the state’s 393 wineries, female vintners are establishing themselves more and more as leaders and visionaries of the industry..."

An Oregon Success Story - B-Net

"Too often these days we read in the newspaper that some small, start-up winery has folded its tent or been absorbed by a large corporation. In other words, their great dream of success expired and they went bust, not for lack of trying, but for lack of money, marketing expertise or a host of other problems, not the least of which was, often, the wrong approach...."
